Savitri is an astrologer with 30 years experience and a Certificate in Medieval Astrology (traditional Western astrology). She is also a transpersonal therapist, workshop facilitator, and a fiber artist who has been awarded Fulbright and NEA grants. She has lived in ashrams (Hindu monastic settings) for most of her adult life. Since 1992, she has spent time in India living in Ammachi's (Mata Amritanandamayi) ashram. Savitri now resides in Southwest Harbor, Maine, where she writes, reads astrology charts, and contemplates in nature. The Method: The reading can be accomplished in 2 ways. 1) Phone consultation (you call at the appointed time and I tape the reading) or, 2) I simply tape the reading and send it to you. In both cases you will receive a tape and your chart. You may ask questions after the reading either by phone or e-mail.You may ask questions before the reading. What is Spiritual Astrology?According to Hermetic and Vedic traditions, the whole purpose of life is to attain spiritual liberation or enlightenment. In your astrological chart we can look at all the areas of life--primary motivation in life, love and marriage, family and children, profession, money, education, friends, partners, legacies, etc.---from a spiritual perspective. How? Medieval astrology uses Arabic Parts which, in addition to the basic natal horoscope, sheds a subtle light on your spiritual tendencies, preferences, and areas in which you will best express your spirituality. From your reading, you will also come to understand the negative aspects in your chart and learn how to overcome them. What to expect? You will receive a natal reading corresponding to the above principles. You will also get an assessment of what is going on in your life now and in the near future according to the time periods (firdaria), transits, profections, solar returns, and progressions. Once we are in e-mail communication, we will arrange for a time for you to call me for a phone consultation . I will need your address to send you the tape.
